Miss Lilly-May

Lilly-May has been performing for most of her life. Her mum is a shepherd (sheep farmer), and their farming family is based in West Wales. Mum started hosting circus workshops and became involved in community organisations when Lilly-May and her siblings were quite young. They continued to work these events as a family for several years, expanding into festivals and corporate performances, mostly featuring acrobatics and fire dancing.

Lilly-May went on to study Anthropology and International Development @ Sussex University, graduating with a 2.1 Honours Degree. While @ uni, she also studied aerial arts, and while her degree content was fascinating, she built an even stronger foundation in the Performing Arts. She secured international bookings and was able to start performing immediately after graduating.  In 2025, she toured the UK with Pinders Circus.

Lilly-May says: “I am super-excited to bring the audience into a whole new world of our making, a place where anything is possible, and nothing is predictable. I am grateful for this opportunity to showcase my artistry, strength, and unique aerial apparatus. I really hope to inspire new performers, just as I was inspired as a child. I am very excited to join the Happy’s team, and I am looking forward to many adventures on this year’s tour.“
