Ryan has always had a passion for performance. He attended theatre school (excelling in his LAMDA examinations) for most of his pre-university life. His Aerial journey began as an undergraduate studying for a BA honours degree in Creative and Dramatic Arts. During this time, he began training in the Aerial disciplines of Silks and Hoop with the multi-disciplinary Physical Theatre and Aerial arts company, ‘Black & Blue Circus’. He appeared in a variety of performance pieces, including corporate and charity events, festivals, showcases, and fundraisers.

After graduating, he worked as an actor for the promenade, didactic Theatre company, ‘Love History ‘, where he performed various roles, and, in particular, bespoke murder-mystery events. Ryan has been running his own Aerial Disciplines studio since 2018. During the past ten years, he has also taught Aerial arts peripatetically, ie travelling to different studios to work with adult dancers and gymnasts. Since 2022, he has been employed as a peripatetic teacher working with children in schools Ryan has also worked with other physical performers over the years and has won competitions in Aerial Choreography. Ryan brings a wealth of experience to Happy’s Circus and is looking forward to immersing himself in a touring Circus!
